As Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations you’ll lead IT infrastructure strategy, operations and service delivery for over 15 locations globally while developing the infrastructure and service delivery team.

Modernising the legacy/ regional IT infrastructure & Ops to group centralised, standardised and measured technology investment, here is your opportunity to deliver significant change & value. To do so you’ll:

• Deliver a global IT Infrastructure strategy & roadmap to standardise infrastructure that supports business growth, improves service, reliability and supportability. Engage technically to select the right solution to fit business needs.
• Lead the delivery of infrastructure change, considering the pace and adoption of change. 
• Develop the Infrastructure team into a group wide function fostering collaboration & unified direction
• Budget ownership & Contract management of all infrastructure including selection, negotiations, service delivery
• Own IT support & Service Delivery with a focus on ITIL ensuring they meet business needs
• Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels to facilitate the adoption of change and ensure successful implementations.
• Building strong relationships with 3^rd parties and manage performance and contracts

• Significant IT Infrastructure & Operations leadership for a manufacturing company, with technical breadth across networking, hardware, desktop, data centres, operating systems & Azure Hybrid environments.
• Manufacturing sector is essential
• Still technically engaged to select the right IT infrastructure to meet business needs.
• Contributed to an IT infrastructure roadmap & strategy  for a mid-size organisation
• Delivered infrastructure change for an organisation with multi-country operations
• Leadership & development of Infrastructure and IT support delivery teams on multiple locations
• Infrastructure contract management & commercially astute
• Strong relationship builder and stakeholder management
• ITIL & ISO27001 and governance such as NIS2
• Azure Hybrid environments, Firewalls, Antivirus, BitLocker and SIEM solutions, MFA solutions and configurations plus Zero Trust Network Architectures.

Salary: To £110,000 + Car allowance + bonus 20% + excellent benefits

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire - Hybrid working – 3 office days per week.

Occasional travel, mainly UK.

ABOUT YOU

We’d like to hear from you if you bring expertise in:

• Data engineering architectural principles with proven data systems design
• SQL and Python with an understanding of medallion architecture
• Implementing & operating cloud-based data platforms, ideally Azure and Databricks OR you might have worked with MS Fabric ( or similar) and like to transfer to Databricks.
• Built ETL/ ELT pipelines
• Knows best practice in data engineering

Our client is a UK innovative company with global operations in engineering technology design, development and manufacturing. It’s starting a global transformation to standardise, optimise and align processes across its numerous applications including HR / HRIS / HCM having selected Dayforce.

As Business Analyst for HR Applications / Dayforce, you’ll understand business needs, improve HR processes and translate requirements into secure, scalable & supportable technology solutions. Replacing multiple HR applications used at various global locations with Dayforce, you’ll also:

• Act as the main IT liaison & partner for HR, understand HR strategy, priorities and translating these into technology requirements for Dayforce
• Support the HR systems roadmap, ensuring priorities are aligned with business value
• Lead HR requirements gathering, produce requirements, user stories, process maps and functional specs, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation
• Contribute to business cases & project initiation documentation
• Support the implementation, configuration & optimisation of Dayforce liaising with HR, IT and the implementation Partner followed by continuous enhancement and improvement. This includes supporting data migration, cleansing & validation.
• Define workforce reporting requirements / HR metrics.
• Engage with vendors re product roadmap that will benefit the business

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst with HR / HRIS / HCM applications ( Dayforce would be advantageous but is not essential)
• Delivered improved HR applications such as enhancements, optimisation, modernisation or upgrade, with a preference for a global experience
• Strong understanding of HR processes experience of requirements gathering, process mapping etc
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills – confident working with HR leaders, IT teams, and engineers alike.
• Experience working in manufacturing or multi-site environments would be a strong advantage.
• Comfortable working independently, introducing structure, and helping teams adopt new ways of working.
