IT Support Engineer - 2nd Line - Evesham

Location: HYBRID 3 days a week in Evesham office, Worcestershire

Are you an IT Support Engineer in need of a new challenge? Would you like to resolve complex technical issues, supporting infrastructure and cloud service and contribute to new IT projects?

Our client is expanding its IT team as it modernises its Infrastructure / desktop environment. It’s created this additional role that’s circa 70% support and 30% projects as it expands IT Support into its European offices. Technically, it’s Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls), endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM) in and ITIL environment.

You’ll support and maintain the infrastructure environment of issues across servers, networks, cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure), and end-user devices, address severe issues / outages while communicating progress to business leaders, deploy new software, and significantly improve documentation. You’ll enjoy investigating, troubleshooting and resolving problems.

You can help shape the IT landscape for our client too.  There are many new projects you can contribute to such as the implementation of a new ITSM tool, support the move to ITIL where KPIs, SLAs, change management are being introduced, improvement of the service catalogue, system upgrades, migrations and deployments.

 

ABOUT YOU

To be considered you need experience of:

  • 2nd line or Senior IT Support Engineer with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
  • Delivering IT services / support to ITIL best practices with SLAs and KPIs
  • Change management processes for infrastructure changes
  • Investigating, troubleshooting and problem-solving technical challenges
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues across the company at all levels

Location: HYDBRID working from EVESHAM office in Worcestershire – 3 days office / 2 days from home.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + pension + bonus
