IT Support Analyst - Birmingham

Location: Birmingham (West Bromwich)            Hybrid working: Office 3 days each week

Our client is a very successful UK design, engineering and manufacturing company exporting its specialist products globally. Its investment in research & development and in state-of-the-art facilities means it continuously offers technologically advanced solutions to its customers in an ever-advancing world.

As the IT Support Specialist, you’ll join the small IT team where you will provide broad and varied support to the IT users in this collaborative environment. The team provides desktop and ERP / Epicor support with the assistance of third-party suppliers. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your expertise further by learning from highly experience IT team members.  As IT support specialist your role will be to:

  • Respond to and resolve general IT / desktop support requests, mainly 1st line, and provide Microsoft 365 administration, triaging more complex issues to IT partners
  • Provide support to ERP / Epicor Kinetic support issues and triaging complex problems to the team members or IT partner.
  • Liaise with IT Partners / 3rd party suppliers on support issues to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. This includes updating the business on resolution progress, ensuring the users receive the best level of service and the right issues are prioritised.
  • Managing purchasing of desktop equipment – printers, laptops
  • Identify area of IT users training needs, produce training document and organise or deliver training
  • Focus on ensuring the best IT service delivery is received by the IT users.
  • Be part of a small friendly & collaborative IT Team with a wealth of IT expertise.

 

ABOUT YOU

To be considered we need you to bring the following:

  • Experience in 1st line desktop support including 365 administration
  • Ideally 1st / 2nd line EPICOR support experience OR support of another ERP (such as Dynamics, Agresso, Unit4) with a strong desire to develop skills in this area
  • Triaging IT tickets with third parties, and liaising with both the business and third parties on progress until successful resolution
  • Focus on IT Service delivery
  • Strong problem solving, good planning and organisation skills
  • A proactive & collaborative approach and the aptitude to learn the Epicor Kinetic ERP application

 

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Working hours: Monday to Friday. Hybrid working with typically 3 days in the office each week
