3rd Line Support Engineer - Evesham

Location: HYBRID  2 /3 days per week in Evesham, Worcestershire

Contract:  3 months contract (potential extension) Inside IR35

Technologies:  Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls), endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM)

Third Line Support Engineer required with experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) to resolve complex technical issues, supporting infrastructure and cloud services. Key part of the role will be documentation of technical processes.

In this contract you will:

  • Ensure continuous operation and maintenance of all hardware, software, servers, and networks by performing regular system updates, patches, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and enforce the security measures needed to protect the organization's IT infrastructure, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption.
  • Provide expert-level support for escalated incidents and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across servers, networks, cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure), and end-user devices.
  • Address any severe issues or outages whilst ensuring effective communication and reporting to business leaders.
  • Participate in the delivery of IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
  • Document solutions, procedures, and contribute to the internal knowledge base
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of databases through regular monitoring, and backup procedures.  Perform routine database maintenance, including updates, patches. 
  • Assist with SQL query writing, view creations and manage scheduled integration tasks. 
  • Support legacy integrations and reporting methods.

ABOUT YOU To be considered you must have:

  • Third line support experience in an MSP (Managed Service Provider)
  • Supported Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls), endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM)
  • Ability to provide infrastructure support where there is little documentation, resolve the technical issue, then document the resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with all stakeholders

Beneficial would be Microsoft certifications, PowerShell scripting and automation, Threat locker Management
